Vendor Management Case Study #1
Objective:
Provide support to the technology division of a mid sized mortgage servicing company by taking a lead role in negotiating the servicing system contract. Leveraged negotiation experience and knowledge of the vendor to lower contract cost.
Solution:
Served as the advisor on behalf of the client to recommend opportunities for reducing cost based on personal experience and knowledge of what other companies have negotiated with the same vendor.
Results:
Worked with the service provider, the client’s business manager and the legal staff in negotiating terms acceptable to the vender and the client. Resulted in lowering contracted systems cost by $3M over the term of the contract.
