Litigation and Compliance Case Study #3

Objective:

Contracted to serve as an impartial arbitrator on a multimillion dollar arbitration hearing between two nationwide mortgage servicing companies regarding an involved servicing related case.

Solution:

Listened to all testimony, evaluated the positions taken by both parties, reviewed all evidence and reached a unanimous conclusion with all arbitrators.

Results:

The case was settled at arbitration pursuant to the rules of the Arbitrators Association of America (AAA). As the impartial arbitrator, Atkins served as the facilitator (adjudicator) during eight (8) weeks and thousands of pages of testimony during informal hearings. He provided the deciding vote in reaching a final settlement.
